In order for a successful application in this category, you must intend to visit your children or grandchildren here in New Zealand, and your child or grandchild must be willing to sponsor you for this application.
Partnership-based Visitor Visa
As the partner of a New Zealand Citizen or resident, work visa holder or student visa holder you could be eligible to apply for a visitor visa based on this partnership. You and your partner must be living in a genuine and stable relationship and your partner must support the application.
Visitor Visa - extension
If you are already in New Zealand and have decided to stay longer than the granted duration of stay due to a change of plans, you may be able to apply for an extension to your current visa.
